Months have passed, yet Murphy and Queen Jefferson still haven't faced off in a woman-to-woman brawl to settle bragging rights in the Pen. And everyone is getting a bit impatient.
Well, in the episode Murphy and Jefferson do end up fighting... But not each other.
The Queen must put down an attempted overthrow by her rebellious second-in command Jamala, the two black girls tearing into each other with bare fists until both are naked and bloodied.
Meanwhile, Ms. Sanchez has tired of waiting for Murphy to stand against Jefferson's position as Queen of the pen, for even after news arrives that the blonde's lovely cellmate Gina has been found badly beaten up, Murphy hasn't challenged her nemesis.
Things come to a head in the warden's private gym as Ms. Sanchez demands that Murphy strip down and fight her in the boxing ring once more, a test to see if the blonde still has the fighting spirit or just lacks the guts to fight (or, perhaps, is a government plant acting as undercover investigator).
No friendly sparring session this time, Sanchez and Murphy slug it out in the nude in a savage, nose-busting, bloody boxing match to a decisive finish.
A final revelation courtesy of Gina at last has Lane Murphy fired up and aching to fight the Queen, and to destroy her.
