After several years, the Hong Kong collector who commissioned the original RUWE (R U Woman Enough) cartoon stories contacted JMR about writing and drawing a new adventure or two featuring those battling Proudstone women, Janet and her now trusted head of the empire, daughter-in-law Kathy, this time to be rendered in color from start to finish.
The Proudstones receive a challenge from the Hardwick family to settle a business takeover dispute between their respective bra/lingerie companies, in a unique way:
A best-out-of-three fighting contest to be waged against Victoria Hardwick and her stepdaughter Alex. Janet and Kathy find the proposal an intriguing alternative to piling up attorney fees and court costs, so they agree to meet the Hardwicks.
Victoria Hardwick is revealed to be a strong, well-muscled blonde whose powerful yet buxom physique is fully a match for that of Janet Proudstone. What's more, Janet is surprised to find that Victoria is years younger than herself, a fact the blonde is not reluctant to remind Janet. Little Alex is the one member of the matchup who is neither a bra-busting bombshell nor a bodybuilder.
The terms of battle between the Proudstones and the Hardwicks include an extra price to pay for the losing team: They must submit to having the rose emblems of the winning family tattooed on their bodies, red for Proudstone, yellow for Hardwick.
The two matriarchs, Janet Proudstone and Victoria Hardwick, agree to fight first, in a topless boxing match that proves the women to be a bloody match for each other, though after Victoria takes off the gloves the fight becomes bare-fisted.
Next, Kathy takes on Alex in a bare-breasted wrestling match, and the smaller girl demonstrates that she is wily and skilled enough to make things uncomfortable for the Proudstone gal for all of the redhead's superior size and strength.
Each family claims a victory in this opening pair of woman-to-woman fights.
